Man tires of shooting possums with pellet gun, targets local ‘Mexicans’ instead MILWAUKEE, Wis. — A Milwaukee man is accused of shooting a woman with a pellet gun at a Walgreen’s Red Box movie dispenser because of her race. According to reports, the accused shooter and apparent genius Robert Malczewski explained to police that he was shooting at “Mexicans” when he fired his BB gun toward a woman (not pictured) on July 25 who was standing near the local outdoor movie rental station. The 35-year-old amateur marksman later told police that, prior to the incident, he had been shooting at possums, but when mosquitoes got too bad outside, he retreated indoors and decided to target locals based on their race instead. I just want to interject for a minute here to say that I am absolutely, 100% not making any of this up. The lady he hit ended up having to go to the hospital to get this idiot’s pellet surgically removed from her neck. Which reminds me of a joke: How many Polacks does it take to effectively re-create a stereotype that pretty much died back in the late 70s?

This is Ieshuh Griffin. She’s an independent running for a downtown Milwaukee seat in the state Assembly. And she really doesn’t want have to be the whiteman’s bitch. Candidates are allowed to use up to five words to describe themselves on the ballot, and Griffin chose the words: “NOT the whiteman’s bitch!” That slogan got nixed pretty quickly from the ballot…by a panel of white, retired Wisconsin judges. Their reasoning was that she used divisive language and a racial slur. “It’s a freedom of expression,” countered Griffin. “It’s not racial. It’s not a slur.” And to her credit - she was able to convince three of the five present judges that the wording should be allowed, talking them out of their initial decision on the spot. Impressive. But two of the judges still feel the wording is inappropriate. One judge was absent, though, and Griffin needed four (of six) votes to succeed. Griffin said she intends to seek an injunction in federal court. If Ieshuh Griffin can pull this off and get her original wording on the ballot, that’ll speak volumes louder than any campaign slogan ever could.
